This project renovates an existing student center on a college campus. The school is undergoing major renovations to give the campus a more cohesive look. The school, located in a mountainous area north of Los Angeles, wants a residential (or "craftsman") feel to the campus.

The 3,000 SF deck acts as an extension to the dining hall inside as well as a gathering place for students to enjoy the views and weather. The stair tower to the east of the building will act as a secondary/ADA accessible entrance. Planters on the interior of the stair tower carry craftsman elements into the interior of the building. A warm material palette of wood, stucco and stone helps to give the student center an inviting aura.
